In fact I have known more than one person this has happened to, including myself. The jeans and/or jeans like fabric when loose around the leg has quite the friction level on skin and pulls the skin a lot when it is rotated in a crash. When the pants don't rip the skin often dose, almost better when the pants do rip. quite the bummer.
