In ten 11+ year I have run my xr650r I have tried to do the valves every 800 to 1000 miles and oil. at 40k+ with out a rebuilt from new. if you are going to do some thing take the time to do it Right  |
I have about 40,000 KM on mine. Oil changed every 2000 KM on trips, and valves checked/adjusted every 4000.
I wasn't talking a sumo fender. Those things are just plain ass ugly. I run a CRF450 fender. Takes some trimming in the back area, but in my opinion it looks 100x better then any sumo or stock fender.
