If you're just starting to look and you're not in a hurry, you might as well keep looking - doesn't sound like a once in a lifetime opportunity :).

As Jim said, service and accessories are important. Cases, lights, shocks, windshield, gps, seat, ... If it's configured just the way you want, then spending more is justified.
