The "Adventure" isn't painted on... it's embedded. More than likely, done while the tanks were in the mold.
If you're at all interested in my folly, you can check out the thread I started when my brother (a professional vehicle wrap specialist for 3M) wrapped my tanks...

The short story is that after about a month and a half, a LOT of bubbles started appearing.
I now use just the smaller "KTM" decals my brother made. While they eventually, slightly bubble... they've been lasting a lot longer. It's been more than 6 months and they are only now showing signs that it's time to replace them...
There is a guy in Germany that prepped his Safari Tanks with
Kreem and painted them...
I've been trying to find out how this paint job held up long-term, but can't find anything other than the initial info on the German
