I have ordered the parts to adapt my 640, and I know it's not a big job. The biggest step is bleeding the brakes. If you keep both discs on the front, you need to run a second full-length brake line from the right side caliper up to the master cylinder so you can get rid of the cross-over. Then you need to come up with some fork-guards. I think the ones to use are from another KTM model, like the the 85 SX. It's not an exact fit but it's close. Also, you'll need some guides for the brake lines, KTM parts worked for me when I did this to a different bike. As for the fender, you could go with any KTM front fender, some people like the supermoto version, I prefer the full-sized MX version for it's extra radiator protection. Of course, Touratech sells a kit that has all you need, it's made for the 950 but as far as I know, it would adapt just fine. I went to my local dealer with a list of parts to get rid of the cross-over line but I plan to keep the low fender in place.
