Look at the brake light switch down by the rear brake pedal. I'll bet that the switch is extended and turning on the brake light. The switch is adjustable for length. Easy test is to take the spring off of the pedal and see is the light goes off.
nope. Light does not go off. Undid the spring, undid the mounting tab and everything. Played with it in my hand
too while I watched the tailight.. Again.. the switch works if i swap the wires in the back. No one has one of these old school baja designs kits? I think i'll delete that random ground wire that goes nowhere. Poses more of a hazard than a purpose. Maybe I'll play with some aligator clips for a while and see what I can do.
