Are you committed to Suzuki?
Because.... a Yamaha WR250R costs only $200 more, weighs a good chunk less, will do just fine on the highways, get great gas mileage, has fuel injection, and will do much better on trails that the Suzukis.
But I'm a 250 guy :)
