Here's some pics of that oldest section of the 1850's Santiam Wagon Road I tried so hard to find a route through
....that day I called you from the North edge of the Mt Washington Wilderness....
(btw, the tour abandons this ancient route )






Research and development took a looong time to find the good stuff, stuff that went through to more fun.
Sometimes I spent too many hours working on a route that I really wanted to through,....but really doesn't.
