Have you tried taking the rubbers out of the stock pegs?
Based on my (short) ride it felt to me that the brake pedal was set up for the height of the steel parts of the pegs not the rubber which are considerably higher. I wonder if the brake deal off the new F800GS with its two height adjustment tip will fit? I suspect that it might.
