New to Adventure Rider - but have been riding 37+ years now.
Though I have my CR500AF, my bike of choice is the good old XR650L.
There is something about a plate that makes up for so many other things.
I am on Motherlode Dual Sport and Thumper Talk, but Motherlode is pretty dead,
and Thumper Talk is useless for Nor Cal as so many jackass' have taken over you
cannot even post a decent ride report, let alone God forbid, you spun a tire in the dirt and
caused some dirt displaced.
Anyways - off my soap box and onto looking at rides in the area.
I live in Mount Aukum and Gold Note/Elkins Flat is only a 15 min jaunt on the slab
from my house, so I know that area real well.
I hook up with some guys from Forest Hill and Auburn and ride the Colfax, Power-House, etc. stuff a lot.
But - am always open to riding something new.
I am a decent rider and the bike, though not great looking, is very well maintained.
Just thought I would post a little here and maybe tag into some rides in the area.
Or, if anyone is interested in the Pipi, Omo Ranch, Highway 88 area - I am always riding there.
