Option 2: FirstGear Kilimanjaro Jacket and Pants and bring rain gear for the extreme weather.

I'm leaning to the Olympia for greater comfort range if it gets warm. Any suggestions (other than buying new gear).
I went the other way last July and ended up bringing two sets of riding gear. Option 2 from Fairbanks to Prince George and something close to option 1 from southern BC to Calif. It was kind of a hassle to have all the gear though I left the option 1 gear with friends in OR to be picked up on the way back. After the trip, I decided that, in the future I would just bring the mesh gear and if it's cold, use the Gerbings and/or the one piece rain suit.
