Thanks. Yes, that is the Wunderlich beak I spray painted the aluminum mounting piece it comes with black.
The D3 screen at it's highest/forward position worked great but I still had some uncomfortable buffeting around 80 mph. So I got a truck mudflap from the auto parts store, cut it down and bolted it in place to give me another inch of height, which solved the problem.
The hand guards are also cut up garbage can lids which keep the weather off really well.
As far as the elbow down... it was elbow, leg, shoulder and face down in the mud after getting overconfident. I mounted my Denali lights off the sides of the D3 and knew they were a little vulnerable and sure enough, one snapped off. Repairs with zip ties in the field worked and I epoxied the screen back together yesterday so it is good as knew... but battle scarred.
