So, what is the tool of choice to get the valve cover off the bottom of the external reservoir? My spare shock needs servicing from my parts XR5 and it still has the stock, domed cover press fitted on the end. I've tried to remove it once before, but didn't want to further risk injuring myself with the tool I was using in my lame attempts to pry it off

I honestly don't know how that end cap comes off. Is there maybe a snap ring in there or something?
