Hello !
If you go to a hardware store, buy an insert with the outer part with ridges. Not purely cylindrical. People making wood cabinets have things like that.
This will help the epoxy glue prevent it turning when inserting the male screw. Have a close look to see if the fairing is not cracked around the insert....
Use a slow curing epoxy and take great care to avoid getting epoxy inside the insert. Do not ask why I tell you this...
Although BMW says their fairing are impossible to repair, I've found that using marine grade glass mat and epoxy make perfect repairs.
