For a while at least, the replacement water pumps were coming with both a plastic and a metal gear so they could be matched to the existing gear material on the camshaft ... not sure if they still do that.... it would be a "revenue enhancer" for the dealership if they didn't ............
Uber-Blue ... the BMW dealer has it for about $40 / gallon ... it's great ... the blue color comes from the dissolved pharmaceuticals that are in it ... that's why you have to stay away from the green crap Reaver uses ....
It's all good... I have a good supply of blue cool-aid, it comes in a 25.4 oz (750 ml) cans imported from down under............
but It's only for human cooling systems....
