I change a lot of tires. Many bikes have no center stand. I have
several wheel lifts, bike lifts/etc, but find that using the side stand
down along with a small jack is often easier/faster. Sometimes I put a block
under the side stand
to reduce lean when the bike is jacked up. There's usually
a jacking spot at or near the right foot peg for getting the rear wheel off the
ground, and exhaust pipes just behind the front wheel to raise the front....
Thin wood pieces/rags/etc prevent marring of bike parts....
