Neewb coming thorugh

Hey folks, so I moved to the Bay Area this summer and am on a quest to learn how to ride dirt roads. This is part of my larger Prudhoe Bay quest. I've ridden street motorcycles on and off for 25 years and have been involved in the Iron Butt community for the last 4 years (I'm in the 2013 IBR). I've just bought a Tiger Explorer 1200 and I'm looking for some easy (and I stress EASY) dirt within 100 miles to learn on. Does the Hollister Hills "green" routes qualify as really easy for a beginner on a big bike? Any other suggestions? I'm not looking to trash out and crash my Triumph in the first month, so I stress easy.

Any suggestions for a good local dirt riding school?

Thanks!
