The West System products are very good and I've used their stuff to build a couple of wooden boats. That said, you'll find the epoxy sold at hardware stores, i.e. 5 Ton Epoxy, to be the same and a lot more manageable for small repairs. I'd consider adding some fibre glass cloth to strengthen the repair, too. BTW, it's so much easier to paint on a coat of epoxy and lay the cloth over then saturate...it keeps the cloth or matting from distorting.
