I was wondering, the tail of the Rockies can be hard to pass to Cooper Canyon that time of year. I went down in 2008 and run into a blizzard in the high peublo of San Juanito making my way to Creel. Had to follow bus tracks through the snow over the pass and then it was fine and cold until I got down in the bottom of the canyons.
You've got plenty of time, myself and a group of ADVers from the Tulsa area are contemplating a ride down around October?? Make for a great time to be in the area.
