But being more vicious, it pumps harder, flows more slowly.
Much of engine wear is on start up, before the oil gets in place to "float" the bearing, etc.
The 15/50 will be slower in getting the lubrication around the engine at start up
What I think I am hearing with the cam chain tensioner is that the oil is not draining back down out of the tensioner assembly but ... I am not certain of that .......
I am blessed living in South East USA and don't get much really cold weather.
