Does the lack of wind protection in hammock camping cause problems in cooler weather or do you just need a good sleeping bag to stay warm. My Wally World bag is far from warm and cozy in a tent on an air matress at those temps.
The hammock I used was a Clark, it had a zip up closure to protect you from the wind. But you do need a good sleeping mat to put under your sleeping bag since the air circulates underneath the hammock.
