I've been using fuelly for a while, and while my FZ6 is perfectly capable of lumbering along and getting 56mpg, that drops to the high forties for high-speed interstate work and the low forties on 'windy back roads'.

The best mileage I ever got on my FZ1 was on twisty roads in Arkansas loaded up with top box and Givi saddlebags. I was on the throttle/off the throttle/on the throttle continuously. Got just a tick under 50 mpg on that tank. Normal easy riding usually netted 44-45 mpg and having fun in the twisties usually got me 42-43. Don't know why it happened. Planets aligned?!
I leave man purse at home when I ride.
