The gate is closed/locked for the season, we got around on the downhill trail.
There was a third beaver about half way down the slide. He was a pudgy guy and struggled to climb up the slimy moss-covered surface toward his compadres. After awhile he gave up and slid to the bottom, looked like a good ride for him.
The eagle was in the trees on the north shore of the reservoir. I've also seen one at Buck Island where the buses used to take the rafters before the bridge was condemned.
A special area to ride, and close to home!
