Just heard from the guy who sold me the chain and sprockets for my 800 that he gave me the 650GS parts instead. So 41/17 instead of 42/16. I'm interested in seeing how this works since I am not using the bike off-road anyway, and slightly better fuel economy would be useful.
I might just buy the 16 tooth front sprocket, in case I don't like the result. One tooth less on the back is not different enough to change IMHO.
