Looking for some gloves for adventure riding...

I currently have motocross gloves from my dirt bike gear bag and leather gloves (plain) from my "cruiser" days...

I like the idea of added protection and "features" such as a face shield wiper, etc.

I don't want to break the bank, any recommendations? Do you guys value "waterproof" gloves?
