Gorges du Verdon

From Nice I rode west along the coast through Cannes. Stores were all closed being a Sunday and I think I paid over €3 for a bottle of water The views were splendid but the traffic was horrid so I decided to head inland towards the Gorges du Verdon. Turns out it's huge and I could easily spend a day around there! There's one road in particular that you don't want to miss but easily could - It's a smaller one-way 25km loop on the edge of the gorge known as the Routes des Crêtes. I decided to ride it a second time and video it, I think it's the only video I took on this trip. I spent the night in a nearby town of Castellane that has a church on top of a ridge. It's a very touristic area, lots of campsites and family activities like kayaking and hiking, but the traffic was not bad at all in September. The gorge was a nice change of scenery but I was still eager to get back to the Alpes.
