Im not trying to tell anyone how to do anything but wouldnt you want that filter down stream of the quick disconnect? Whenever I take the tank off even after taking extra care to clean that area Im super aware that Im opening the fuel system and I always find some dirt directly on that fitting. Guess Im going to learn my lesson the hard way because Im leaving the stock filter system. Ive replaced the filter once already which hasnt been much trouble to do during a valve check when the tank is off.
When you have the '13 setup the filter is on the side that goes to the fuel rail so it's downstream. And when you disconnect the line it stays in.
