I had a quart of ATF sitting around, so that's what I used. Thrashed the bike good today as a shake-down, the front is like new, with the biggest improvement being the steering bearings. The old, loose, notchy ones made it feel like I was steering with both wheels! Should get my new front tire in mid-week, I hope to have the oil leaks buttoned up by then.
This XL is a hot rod, and feels like a minibike compared to my 1150GS. What a blast!
