GUN OF THE DAY- Remington Double Derringer
Remington’s double derringer was manufactured over an almost seventy year span, from 1866 to 1935.
The design had a firing pin that automatically alternated from top to bottom barrels to fire the stubby .41 rimfire cartridges
This example has a little different history in that it was once carried for personal protection by General Bryce Poe,
as an aviator in the Korean War. Poe selected a plated pistol for corrosion resistance and
used a El Paso Saddlery wrist holster to conceal his two-shot sidearm.
