It's spring time in the Pyrenees, and I did a short round ride from Irún (Spain)- St. Jean-Pied-de-Port (France)-Roncesvalles (Sp)-Irún.

The way from St. Jean to Roncesvalles is the first stage of the French Route of St. Jaques Pilgrimage, which ends in Santiago de Compostela, 790 kms. westwards. And when I rode on this wednesday, I SAW ONE PILGRIM walking up the Puerto de Ibañeta road (1066 meters high) at 8 pm, completely dark and the temperature going down (we should be at 6ºC degrees in that moment). I stopped and asked him if he was OK, and indeed he was!!! He was heading up to a refuge a few kms uphill....
Amazing!!! Maybe I'll do it by walking, but preferably during the summer!!! there was snow in the top of the port yet...

Maybe tomorrow I'll ride a little far away, looking for the biggest peaks in the Pyrenees. Maybe Aubisque, Tourmalet and Aspin will be closed yet, but I'll try it anyway....IT'S SPRINGTIME!!!!

Sorry because I don't know how to link the youtube link with preview....
