April 12 film screening-Decatur Garage

  • See David's invitation below:

  • Hello Atlanta Friends,

David Giguere (Georgia Overland) and Daniel Palazzolo
(Decatur Garage) are pleased to offer a free screening of Maciek
    Swinarski's film "MotoSyberia".
    Just a heads-up...this is not a kid-friendly film.

I was introduced to this film by Austin Vince (
at his Adventure Travel Film Festival (
    last year.

Here's a description of MotoSyberia from the ATFF site:

"An incredibly imaginative film of one of the toughest motorcycle trips
    ever undertaken, a masterpiece!

Maciek Swinarski is one of the top adventure film-makers in the world
today. His latest film is the story of a seriously hardcore motorcycle
ride from his native Poland to Magadan in eastern Siberia, and has
made him a household name in his homeland. Imbued with a sense
of humour so often absent from travel documentaries, Swinarski fully
engages with the local people as he and his three travelling
companions cross the imposing Russian landmass on their KTM640s.
He shares this amazing experience not only with the viewer, but also
with the people he meets along the way. Motosyberia is the antidote
to the contrived ‘reality’ TV which dominates our screens today
    – genuine back to basics stuff, real life action, with all the hardship
    and adventure that entails."

Bring a chair and a beverage and join us for this very different sort of
adventure travel film at the best underground film screening
    location...Decatur Garage.

A little about the Georgia Overland and Decatur Garage screenings:

Your interest has pushed Daniel and I to find unique and worthy adventure
travel films. We always contact the filmmakers for permission, we never
charge a fee of any sort nor do we receive any compensation in return.
The free screenings are our way of supporting a small but important community
of filmmakers by introducing our friends and family to new films...and it's a great
excuse to hang out with our buddies and make new friends!
