Snake brake

Just thought of the route I'm going with the snake brake/shifter. Go to where they sell single guitar strings, the kind with a eyelet on the end. Put the end through loop to make a hangman's knot. Pull it tight over the shifter, and secure it with bailing wire (the kind we used to put where the spokes crossed, or similar), to make sure it can't back off. Drill a hole somewhere on your skid plate, nut and bolt from hardware store/Locktite, trim off excess. On the brake side, I'll drill a hole through the lever. Hey, if you know someone who plays, it's free, they're going to trash them anyway, except for the hardware. Leave a little slack, you won't even need a tuning fork. Hey, the blue bike guys have tuning forks on the tank.
