Gakona Lodge

If the timing works for you, the Gakona Lodge is open, I just spent 4 nights there, and left Friday morning for Fairbanks.
It is located on the Tok Cut-Off Highway about 2 miles north of the intersection with the Richardson Highway.
Valeri and her husband run the place, and she is a good cook.
Very rustic, meaning comfortable, but the floors creak and are not exactly level (). Built in 1904.
The front faces the Copper River Valley, and the Gakona River is immediately behind the lodge, altho it is hard to see with all the snow on it right now.
Good riding...
