I spent a quiet night somewhat off the road. In the morning I had some visitors.
I camped north of Tehran in the Central Alborz mountains.
I camped on a river, hidden away from the road.
I see also a lot of long empty roads. No traffic at all. Beautifull scenery indeed. But so lonely. Does that make fun driving in this way?

And after a long loneley day you put up your tent hidden from the rest of the world. How do you feel being alone in your tent? Don't you miss some company? Is this what you dreamed of of being on a big trip?

Camp on the Ysyk-Köl. The water is fine, I go for a short swim and wash. I forgot to buy some beer for the evening, deep regret!

Well seriously: what is it to be a lonely rider?
Travelled to Ural mountains in 2007. Travelled to Siberia in 2008. Travelled to Baikal and Mongolia in 2009. Travelled to Altai and Mongolia in 2010. Travelled to Russia and Mongolia in 2011. Travelled to Russia and Siberia in 2012. Travelled to Siberia, 'Dalnie Vostok' and Sachalin in 2013.
