I wouldn't, but it's your bike. Where the loops need an oil filter is in the feeds to the mains and rod bearings, not the little amount of oil that lubes the rockers.

You can convert the old blocks to add a filter, but it's a lot of machine work.

Drop the sump, clean the screen and pressure relief valve, and thereafter just change the oil often. These things go a long way without a real oil filter.
