Mike's goodies come back from powder.
KLR top box all back together. She now looks like the proper pack mule. Ahhhh. Much better. Trying to rid the world of milk crates one KLR at a time.
Of course, the only reason I have bags this nice in the first place is because I built them. I'd probably sport a milk crate myself if it weren't for that.
Lower bevels allow access to the OEM grab handles. That's important to me for dragging the bike around my small garage when it gets in the way.
The hinges on the bags and top box are a bit of a mix-up, but it allows me to road test what I'm making.
I'm happy with this set-up, but I'm already thinking about taking it all apart, selling the whole enchilada, and starting over. I really like how Mike's ST bags turned out, and I would leave mine raw aluminum and use black hardware. I think it looks pretty sweet that way.
Just thinking out loud. I'll probably log a few thousand miles before I do anything.
I'm hoping to have Mike's set-up together any day now...until then.
