We were here.
But, at last, I arrived at my destination. Only been riding maybe 36 hours on 45 minutes of sleep
It had been quite the ride, and I was ready for a nap.
At last my destination was in view.
Pretty much as far away from pavement as you can get in BC.

And I was also far away from my the camp. In the distance, I could see the base camp for Claw Mountain Outfitters
but I couldn't see how to get there. It was 10 or 11 at night and no one seemed to be around, but I ventured a honk or two on bike's (annoyingly effeminate) horn. That resulted in a body stirring across the lake. It was Markus Blum. He's a fascinating and genuine guy. More about him and his wife at his website

Eventually, I got on the right side of the lake and into camp.
Markus said Rick (the outfitter) was already sleeping, but he invited me to stay the night on his behalf. I told him I'd be happy in my tent, but Markus insisted I stay in the guest lodge. I didn't argue.
