As long as you have an airtight tank, the fuel pump should provide the fuel suction to draw all the fuel to the engine.
Sounds like you have to have the "canisterectomy" done too (US bikes only).

Well kinda

If you run the lines though the vent, you only get about 2.5gal of fuel, the rest stays in the bottom of the tank. I have a full write up on my build thread. I have a fuel pump to move the other 2.5gal.
