There are no 'its', Mark. Grey imported motorvehicles (doesn't matter if its are bikes or motorcars) can give sereous worries, but that does not have to be the case.

In case of importing a XL1000V Varadero MK2 to the US, the technical base is a VTR Firestorm which is on the US paylist.

It won't break down either. Its a Honda.

Difficulties can be expected if the bike is getting damaged, f.e. in an accident.

But still... parts can be ordered 24/7 around the globe thanks to the internet. This makes importing 'grey' a blessing these days, and not an harassment any more.

Same goes for the VRF1200X Crosstourer. Just get it. Unless the importing legislations and fees are that much horrible for the US...

(Blessing me for living in non-boundry Europe... which has its downsides too, believe me!)
