A River Ran Through It - Touring Central Washington's Scablands

A couple of weeks ago, I did a 3 day solo motorcycle/hike/camp trip into the scablands in central Washington. It was fantastic... save for the wind. At times I had to ride so slow that even RV's were passing me out in the flat farmlands. In my hikes, I encountered a rattlesnake that slithered backwards (yes backwards) across my feet into a rocky crack, encountered a black Widow Spider scurring towards my hand and was attacked by a nesting Falcon on the rocky cliffs of Steamboat Rock. Other than that, the trip was incredible and the riding was awesome.
