We have three street bikes in the Barn. My two, the Uly and M2, then my wife's Blast. For commuting, I find myself riding the wife's bike more and more. The lighter weight, the easier reach to the ground and tighter turning radius is appreciated. Plus I think it's cool grabbing the tail section and walking the bike around. It does get better gas mileage but not much, 50+mpg versus 40+mpg, plus it runs on cheaper gas, so it does save some money. The tires do not last as long though, getting less than half the mileage of the bigger two.

Would I want to travel on it? I do not know. I have the Ventura rack with two 40 liters bags, plus smaller soft saddlebags which give it storage potential, but do not know if I would appreciate the advantages of the smaller bike on a long haul. I think the perfect stable is the one with choices. Heck, the Blast is not the smallest bike in the barn, there is always the Z50. I wonder if they make a Ventrura rack to fit that?
