Whether CRT is a good idea or not depends on your perspective. It may indeed be a success in corporate terms of bikes/dollar, but from my perspective, it adds nothing but back markers for the front runners to negotiate on their final laps. The fastest CRT bike is the only CRT that ever gets noticed in a positive way and even then it's a footnote.
From the riders perspective it is a dead end career move. If you want to move up to a factory bike, it's better to approach from Moto2. The Moto2 guys that move up to CRT will never gain a factory/satellite seat.
CRT is more of a stepping down place than a stepping up place.
