Question, how often is the reset/mode button used on the remote during a rally and is it during a special or a non critical stage? Heres a pic of my prototype, im pretty happy with the result. The extra button top right will not work with some clutches so will scrap that idea. Which leaves me with 4 buttons... With this 4 i was thinking i could either run trip 1 and 2 +/- buttons and use the mode buttons on the trip itself or elsewhere, or run trip 1 +/-& mode, trip 2 mode only (no+/-). What would be the most useful configuration?
On the Tuareg Rally there were lots of trip-km resets during the day, so it was critical that you had good access to the reset/mode button. I only used trip 2 to count overall kms for the day, so basically never had to adjust it.
In my - admittedly limited - experience, I think the classic 3 button layout of the F2R, RNS, etc switches will work much better in practical application.
