Hey guys. I started thinking about where to go during the August Eid holidays. I started looking at beaches but then I remembered I don't like them.

So I started thinking about places I'd always wanted to go and living in Mexico, probably wouldn't get the chance to visit cheaply for a while.

India needs visas which I object to on principle, and most other places that are a few hours flying away are places where my wife wouldn't approve of (whether because of safety or the presence of cute bar girls) So I started thinking about Nepal. I sent a couple of emails about motorcycle tours and here's the one response I've had so far (this was my preferred company as they have 250cc japanese enduro bikes. Everyone else is offering Royal Enfields. One company stated that breakdowns were part of the charm/adventure...nah):

Day 01: Kathamndu - Chispani Over night at Tea house

Day 02: Chispani Roheni Bhanjayang - Dhulikhel over night

Day 03: Dhulikhel - Timal Besi via Palanchok Bhagawati - Dhulikhel

Day 04: Dhulikhel - Namobudha - Balthali- Lakuribhanjang

Day 05: Dhulikhel - Namo Bhddha - Dapcha - Dumja Dhulikhel- Back to Kathmandu.

Cost: USD 1000.00 per person

Cost includes:
1. Airport transfers as per the program
2. Accommodation in Kathmandu and in Dhulikhel.
3. Bike rentals including oil
4. A guide his allowances
5. Meals (3 meals a day) including
6. Necessary permits and local taxes

Cost doesn't include:

1. Travel/ medical insurance
2. Emergency and Evacuation costs
3. Airport departures
4. Alcoholic beverages
5. Other personal expenses as laundry, telephone calls, tips etc.

The price seems pretty good, and the return flight is about 180 OMR.

It's rainy season so a view of Everest is rare, but the scenery will still be magnificent.

So, anyone interested?
