A track to go with my "Alberta one weekend at a time" thread in the Canada section.

Big bike friendly, except south past Castle Valley Ski area. Be sure to fuel in Lundbreck before heading south to Castle Valley as there is no fuel in the area. Trail is pot-holed, muddy when wet, and crosses three bridges, the second and third narrow. Serious elevation gains after the second bridge. Where we stopped the trail becomes a quad trail and was steep, washed out from melt water and had lots of small tree debris across it. That section would be a challenge for a big bike, and not recommended if loaded with bags, etc.
Heading North along Sartoris road to Blairmore is again big bike friendly, as is North Burmis road connecting to Highway 22 south of Chain lakes. There was construction on Burmis road for the first 6 km north of Highway 3, but you could get through no trouble, as of June 9th 2013.
