Same here, every once in a while my husband will go on a long ride with me but there can be years in-between such rides. Our interests are different, he loves to go slow and look at the geology while I tend to ride faster and stop for thing like an Anistazi dig instead of geology. Last trip together after riding through Moab, Capital Reef, Escalante, Bryce Canyon and Zion when he wanted to go back through other parts of Zion the day after we had arrived there I told him to go ahead, I was canyoned out. Instead I was going to the hanging water gardens and do some hiking. Though both of us were ready to push the speed limits between Vegas and my brother's house outside San Diego. Something about that 114f heat had both of wanting to make time as quickly as possible. He also does dirt which I don't and have no desire to do.
