Hamilton Motorcycle Club put on a great event, very well run and the weather was perfect.
I met up with a fellow ADV rider Oscar who ran a smooth operation in Pit lane for the day...he must have been cold.
Team Bavaria fielded two bikes , the ever popular R90s and the less well known R90/6 touring version.
Sid was running a higher final drive and pulled away on the straights and both of us managed best lap times of 1:27, which was my best ever.
Our local KB group BFTP turned up and we had 5 BMWs outside 'the Eagles Nest" tent.
Entered in two classes , Posties/Classics and Clubmans B, so had 2 rounds of practice and 6 races...well would have had 6 but for the last one we swapped bikes and Sids super duper Lithium Iron red battery decided to die on the start line.....
There was a few cool bikes there too, a new Norton Commando, that he managed to lay down on the grass....
and his 1934 Royal Enfield V twin 1300 cc(?)
I was pretty knackered after 45 odd laps ( 120 KMS) of HD on the old Beamer. The last minute clutch works held up fine.
maybe Trust Me will have the old Triumph cobbled together for August....
