Well, yes, but raw bike performance doesn't always help.

Ducati possibly have more engine power, look at how well they are doing ?.

Suspension is likely very close, frame close, beyond that it's subtle things, like how the COG of bike AND rider works out at various places around the track. Not belittling Crutchlow's skill, but I suspect part of why he's doing well is that either the bike just works for him or he's been able to adapt his riding style to get that little bit more out of it in the corners and under brakes relative to the factory bikes - doesn't make up for being down on power on the straights, elsewhere though ...
