From what I understand, Firejumpers use those MSR bottles when they parachute into burning backcountry and feed their chainsaws. Damned near indestructible.

I've got a pair of the 30oz ones that I used for the last 2 months to augment my Shadow's puny 3.7gal capacity while I was riding around the country. Since my XR has a 5gal desert tank, I didn't take the extra fuel containers with me on a ride like this one... but I would if it were a longer trip.

I bet you could bungee-net 1-2 bottles on the back of your seat. Or ratchet them down in place with a come-along strap. A come-along would also be handy if you wound up getting your bike stranded somewhere, too.
