I would like to convert my stock wheels over to black aluminum rims. Was thinking about going with 18" front and back.. do you see any advantage to changing that from the stock 17"/19" setup? Considering aesthetics mostly and street handling, as this bike doesn't really ever see dirt.

Can you give me a rough idea of cost to lace up new rims to my hubs.

Hi Jon,,,

IMHO your OEM 19/17 set up is a generically well proven combo for most Adventure bikes that stay on the slab for most of their life,,.vintage canyon carvers/road racers appreciate the 18/18 combo usually using a slightly larger wider rim and bigger tire on the rear....

1,,, set of aloy rims circa$500
2,,, re-anodize black circa z$150 for both
3,,, heavy duty ss spokes n ss nipples are circa $125 per kit
4,,,custom lace n true is $99 per wheel,,Superlace n true is $111 per wheel with one year warranty
